hello everyone! i finally got around to posting the photos of sister + boyfriends time. it was heaps of fun to have them around (the only drag was when the v.w. bus decided it didn't want to go up one more hill and spewed all its antifreeze on the street....). the big news of the day is......I HAVE A JOB!!! yahoo! yipee! hooray!! i was starting to get really down about it. the job market here is so so tight at the moment. ahh---i guess that's what happens when the country is in economic depression. but--anyways-- thanks to my experience on the phones (thank you professional telemessaging) and my "great" voice i get paid $15/hr. big sigh of relief. it's not exactly the most stimulating job but i stopped being picky about 3 weeks ago! today was my first day and it seems ok. the people are nice and (unbelievably) it is not too far from the house. it seems like you have to drive 100 miles to get anywhere in southern california. the route from my house to work is particularly beautiful----through dusky farmlands and horse stables and golden mountains. eucalyptus trees line the road and make the air smell minty fresh. i'm so glad i don't live in the city anymore and have to step over trash on my way to work. i was so glad when i logged on today and had a comment from ryan and emails from mom and dad and tante. thanks for reading. hope you all are having a sensational day!

don't pay any attention to the girl on the left. she's a wee bit retarded. Posted by Hello

on the other hand don't pay any attention to the girl on the right either. thank goodness there is one (me) that you can count on. Posted by Hello

this photo makes me laugh because it looks like it should be on the front of a christmas card or something. with the dog and the couch and the way jeremy's shirt matches the carpet. Posted by Hello

more fun with image manipulation. it kinda looks like she is in heaven. except she seems a bit bored... Posted by Hello

it was the camera that was tilted---not us. i think. Posted by Hello

amazing jellyfish exibit at the monterey aquarium. i overheard one teeny boy say to no one in particular "no. no. i'm not scared of these jellyfish." Posted by Hello

the group we saw consists of juvenile (JUVENILE???!!!) males and pregnant females. there was one young lad there that weighed about 1500 lbs. a mere teenager. the adult men were still in antarctica having boy's club (cigars? cognac?) before they join this group to impregnante some more females. busy schedule. these are very large (up to 5000 lbs.) very stinky and very loud elephant seals.  Posted by Hello

this is the santa cruz campus. yes--it is actually the campus. there is a 25 acre organic farm and redwood forests on campus also. not to mention heaps of wildlife. very very cool.  Posted by Hello

klaus the german artist father. you can check out his photographs if you want by going to the link on the side of the page. his stuff is neat. Posted by Hello

this is the rough life i led whilst staying with klaus (nick's dad) in beautiful san fransisco. you can't see it in this photo but beyond that fence is a soothing, inviting hot tub. i spent much time in that hot tub. Posted by Hello
